“CO-LABOURATIVE-LAB” WILL TRAIN UNEMPLOYED PERSONS FOR INCREASING THEIR EMPLOYABILITY THROUGH SHARING ECONOMY

“co-LABOURative LAB”, a European Project funded by ERASMUS+, will develop an innovative training program for increasing the employability of unemployed persons, through Sharing Economy and New Forms of Employment

The concept of Sharing Economy or Collaborative Economy refers to business models where economic activity is facilitated by platforms that create an open market for the temporary use of goods or services provided by individuals. It´ss also related to the New Forms of Employment that emerge as a consequence of the global changes experienced in our society.

According to the “European Agenda for Collaborative Economy”, published by the Commission in 2016, the Collaborative Economy creates new opportunities for consumers and entrepreneurs. For people wishing to provide services, Collaborative Economics offers new employment opportunities, flexible working arrangements and new sources of income. It also allows people to start marketing their own services, taking the first steps to becoming an entrepreneur without many of the risks associated with setting up a business.

Collaborative Economy is growing rapidly and gaining significant market share in some sectors. At the same time, Collaborative Economics often raises issues related to the application of existing legal frameworks, which make less clear the limits established between consumer and provider, self-employed and self-employed or professional and non-professional services.

Chamber of Commerce of Valencia is leading a European Project, funded by ERASMUS+, addressed to the development of training program for unemployed persons who could increase their employability through Sharing Economy.

Other entities focused in delivering training services are participating in this project, like Chamber of Arkadia (Grecia), Ruse Chamber of Commerce (Bulgaria) and CPU (Eslovenia), as well as private entities with experience in social innovation, employment and training, like FORBA (Austria) and COORDINA (Spain).
